CLAYPOLE VILLAGE HALL
Claypole Village Hall is an early 20th century arts and crafts style building with beautiful vintage features, making it a great venue for wedding receptions, parties, fairs, events, etc., as well as playing host to numerous community activities and groups. It was gifted to the village by benefactor Harry Coulby, a Claypole-born man who made his fortune in shipping in the USA but never forgot his roots in the Lincolnshire village. It is therefore run as a charitable trust by a team of volunteers and trustees.
As well as the impressive main hall (which features a stage & servery/bar area), there are lovely outside features including beautiful formal gardens, a large paddock area (suitable for a marquee or bouncy castles), ample parking and a children's play area.
In 2022, ahead of its centenary year, the main hall underwent a full refurbishment, with inspiration from a local interior designer - work completed included renovation of the beautiful wooden floor, complete redecoration and new curtains and blinds. In 2023, funding was awarded by SKDC for new audio visual equipment to relaunch Claypole Cinema Club. In Autumn 2023, work will start on the former library to create a new hire space for smaller groups/meetings.
