ABOUT US

Claypole Village Hall is an early 20th century arts and crafts style building with beautiful vintage features, making it a great venue for wedding receptions, parties, fairs, events, etc., as well as playing host to numerous community activities and groups. It was gifted to the village by benefactor Harry Coulby, a Claypole-born man who made his fortune in shipping in the USA but never forgot his roots in the Lincolnshire village. It is therefore run as a charitable trust by a team of volunteers and trustees.

As well as the impressive main hall, which features a beautiful stage and 3 fireplaces, there are lovely outside features including beautiful formal gardens, a large paddock area (suitable for a marquee or bouncy castles), ample parking and a children's play area.

In 2022, ahead of its centenary year, the main hall underwent a full renovation, with inspiration from a local interior designer, Amanda Campbell - work completed included renovation of the beautiful wooden floor, complete redecoration and new curtains and blinds.

2023 saw further investment in the Hall, with the refurbishment of the former library as a new hire space for smaller groups/parties and the installation of new audio visual equipment to relaunch Claypole Cinema Club. At the end of the year, funding from SKDC was secured for a brand new kitchen and work was completed in January 2024.
